Will employers continue to embrace remote and hybrid work or play the cards to bring back employees fully to the office just as it were before the pandemic?

Laszlo Bock, Google’s ex-HR chief has some shocking predictions.

Laszlo Bock built and led Google’s people function for 10 years, responsible for attracting, developing, retaining, and delighting “Googlers.”

Tech companies are reacting differently to how employees will continue to work. While some have offered to support employees to work remotely, others have expressed their desire to get employees back to the office. Laszlo Bock has predicted that hybrid work will last maybe three to five years.

His prediction is hanging on two major definers. First is the difficulties experienced by managers who have been settled with the responsibility to manage remote/hybrid teams, resulting in the desire by such managers to have employees return back to the office

Secondly, he has predicted that those working from home may soon run back to the office due to biases that will favours in-office employees.
